Row Marking Tool

This winter I made a hu-mun-go tool for my market garden. I have to admit I wasn’t so sure how often I would use it, or if it was going to work exactly right. But now that planting time is fully under way I think I am in love with it.

The rolling row marker - still needs a better name- has been so helpful in my bed prep process and makes transplanting so simple, and so satisfying to look at once complete.

As it rolls down the bed it evens out some of the variations and smooths things out while leaving a grid pattern on the surface. Its made from stuff I had lying around and doesn’t need to be stored inside- which is good because it would take up too much room.

Take a look at the video I made this winter, and the photos below show you what it looks like in use.

What do you think this tool should be named? Let me know in the comments!
